The mainsail tore 5 minutes before
these photos were taken but didn't get any worse so we continued to the
finish — we were gutted to find out that we had rounded a wrong mark
heading out of the harbour earlier in the day and had to withdraw from the
race.
Just after
these photos were taken we had to take the headsail down to get control
downwind — it was a tough day on Wellington Harbour!
Whilst I had the mainsail
repaired, it was on it's last legs and didn't last long — the order went
in for our new main soon after.
