Welcome to the website for the yacht Candu II.

Candu II is a Whiting half tonner, designed and built by Paul Whiting in 1976. The yacht was originally named Candu II, renamed Vice Squad, then Can Do Too and is now Candu II again. It is one of only three that were built, the more famous one being Newspaper Taxi.

The yacht was purpose-built to race in the World Half Ton Cup in Trieste, Italy in 1976. The very light, choppy conditions did not suit Candu II and she finished 6th overall.

Candu II was raced for many years in Auckland and overseas before moving to Wellington.

There have been a number of changes over the years. For more information click on history.
